When we pulled Emily from AHS-Newark Branch, she was completely paralyzed in her hind end, and unable to hold herself up, stand, or walk. We believe that every animal deserves a fighting chance. We saw something special in this tiny dog,and thanks to her own determination and spirit, an extremely gifted surgeon, a wonderful foster home, and a lot of love, she’s proving us right. ❤️ She’s still somewhat incontinent, still needs to build her strength, but that is all to be expected. Her neurologist is absolutely thrilled with her progress, and so are we. This precious girl is a miracle. She’s not all the way there yet, but she’s headed in the right direction. ❤️
Thanks to a talented and compassionate surgeon, lots of love from her amazing foster family, and most of all, from her own strength, determination and heart… little Emily is walking on her own! ❤️🐾 Emily will be starting physical therapy soon. We expect more great things from this tiny miracle with the fierce spirit and sweet disposition. We are so proud of our little WALKING miracle. ❤️
